Transformer Punk mit Trix und Kapow! No more sitting at home crying with all your favorite melancholy vinyl. No more believing that the chic check of the period is a well-known and thoroughly raped retro rock pattern. Music is life and in order for life to sustain there has to be movement. And why not go for world domination now that were at it?! Plök. Devil-may-care twitching/jerking and playful avant-garde post-punk that recklessly mixes surf, ompa, ska, synth-rock and funky hardcore into a regular magic formula. With lyrics that throw massive yet joyful raised fingers at the falsities of the world on top of a lively vibrating ground of insisting and inventive rhythms, fanciful guitar sequences and polka dotted bass lines Plök has long since manifested themselves as a serious alternative to all the tendentious rock bands with an excessive desire to please!A year after the independently released EP ...and that is how I finally defeated all evil mankind which has soon sold 500 copies, Plök are glad to announce the continuation of their EP-serial about the vagrancy of the prevailing morals and the obvious distortion of objective information in the crossfire of modern politics: You run the show, I drive the ambulance. After having thrown themselves into the foaming media ocean Plök has fished up comments such as: ... [Plök] take me along on a musical tour of comparison, that among others visit Primus, Madness, Düreforsög and Faith no More. A gathering of kings, but Plök are capable of making the all king game of patience come out, forming the synthesis. Christian Langballe, Mymusic.dk (our translation) Plök can boast of elections as Track of the Day and Track of the Week on the prestigious music site Garageband.com and Band of the Week on Mymusic.dk. With their bizarre and high explosive live-attacks Plök persuades the audience to join them jumping around in the ring of their noise circus. Pleased yet dizzy concertgoers witnessing their feel-good madness rapports of previous seizures at the following venues: Vesterbro Festival 2004, including, among others: Efterklang and Martin Ryum RockONRock Festival 2004, including, among others: EPO-555, Marvellous and Mimas Plekter-Concerts around the country including among others: KÅ and sidste ambulance This summer Plök participated in the Emergenza-Final in Denmark, Nakkefestivalen and their local Kongens Have Live in Odense. Plök play a delightful anarchistic mixture of avant-garde rock and metal with traces of ska and surf. They work with different layers of tempo, changes in tempo and wonderful insane sound effects. The band has got a good singer with conviction, personality and drama. Apparently inspired by British bands such as The Cure, states Tobias Trier as a reviewing comment to the Ep ...and that is how I finally defeated all evil mankind. (our translation)
